  • This doesn’t sound right: “It’s important to stop your treatment halfway as soon as your symptoms disappear. Stick to inserting the cream for 7 consecutive nights before going to bed to make sure that the infection doesn’t come back.” Surely you mean it’s important *not* to stop your treatment halfway.

  • Hi, if I only use Clotrimazole cream externally, will it eventually cure the yeast infection? I’m not comfortable using suppositories so I’m wondering if there are any other solutions.

    • Hi Adriana, using Clotrimazole cream externally will only help you relieve the external itching. Vaginal yeast infection starts inside the vagina so it has to be treated from the inside. If you’re not comfortable using suppositories, how about oral antifungal treatment? The most popular ones are Fluconazole and Itraconzaole, they’re both prescription drugs, so you’ll need to see your doctor to start your oral yeast infection treatment.
