What’s the Best Antifungal Bar Soap?

If you suffer from a skin condition such as candida yeast infection, ringworm or jock itch, switching to an antifungal soap can help you treat and prevent the infection. There’s a huge selection of antifungal washes and antifungal bar soaps on the market and some of them are of poor quality.

What's the Best Antifungal Soap

When choosing your antifungal bar soap, make sure you check the ingredients list. The more artificial fillers and preservatives, the more likely you are to end up with irritated skin. Always go for all natural ingredients with scientifically proved antifungal qualities.

The most common and well documented antifungal ingredients in soaps are tea tree oil and other essential oils, coconut oil and goldenseal extract.

Let’s take a look at my picks:

The Yellow Bird Peppermint & Tea Tree Soap Bar

This cold-pressed soap is handmade in the USA. It’s got a great selection of different types of antifungal and antibacterial oils. Thanks to the addition of peppermint, the soap has got a fresh, invigorating scent.

The Yellow Bird Soap has got fantastic reviews on Amazon, with 92% of users very happy with their results, but some users complain that it’s overpriced. The company offers a full refund in case you’re not happy with their product.

Submission Antifungal Tea Tree Oil Soap

This bar soap, made in the USA, was designed for Jiu Jitsu practitioners to help them prevent skin conditions caused by viruses, bacteria, and fungus.

It’s got an excellent selection of antifungal ingredients, mainly coconut oil as well as eucalyptus and tea tree essential oils.

What’s impressive about Submission Soap is that it’s got 93% of 4 and 5-star reviews on Amazon and 0% of 1-star reviews, that’s pretty amazing! Some users complain about its price, but that’s the case with all high-quality soaps.

“Totally relieved my skin itch. Does not cause my skin to dry. Even resolved my dermatitis. Amazing soap! The only downside is that it does not last long but it’s a minor Inconvenience. I would recommend is positive.”

Cridecar, Amazon.com

Ingredients: Olive Oil, Water, Coconut Oil, Sodium Hydroxide, Organic Palm Oil, Hemp Oil, Shea Butter, Eucalyptus Essential Oil, Tea Tree Essential Oil, Cajeput Essential Oil, Peppermint Leaves.

Vi-Tae Organic Antifungal Soap

Vi-Tae soap has got a nice mixture of oils that have antifungal properties. What I like about this company is that they’re very honest about their product. As it contains sodium hydroxide, necessary in the soap making process, it cannot be considered 100% organic.

Although sodium hydroxide is on the list of non-organic compounds that can be used in organic products, Vi-Tae claim that their soap is 85% organic, fair enough!

The reviews of Vi-Tae Soap are a bit confusing. It seems to be a very popular antifungal soap and it’s got 2300 reviews at the moment. Although 85% of users are very happy with their results, the rest complain about its prize vs. size.

Vi-Tae Organic Antifungal Soap

The soap also gets complaints from people who used it to treat acne. It seems a bit too harsh and abrasive for facial skin. However, those that used it to treat ringworm and yeast infections on other parts of their body are generally happy with their results.

Ingredients: Safflower Oil, Sunflower oil, Palm Oil, Coconut Oil, Lemongrass Oil, Tea Tree Oil, Cajeput Oil, Niaouli Oil, Neroli Oil, Lemon Verbena Flakes, Rosemary Extract

Conclusion

If you’re looking for high-quality antifungal bar soap, you need to be prepared to pay more than you would expect to pay for a normal soap. But that seems to be the only downside of the antifungal soaps that I presented above.

All three of them are filled with 100% natural antifungal ingredients that have been studied on people with skin conditions such as ringworm, dermatitis and skin yeast infection. My personal favorite is Submission Soap, it smells great and it’s a really potent antifungal soap. Its amazing Amazon reviews speak for themselves!
